Karine Jean is an American political campaign organizer, activist, and commentator. She is also an author and lecturer in International and Public Affairs at the University of Columbia.

She has currently been named the White House Press Secretary to succeed Jen Psaki. She happens to be the first black woman and the first openly gay person to occupy the position.
